Team USA have won 10 of their 15 contests and are attempting to maintain a third on the trot after winning four decades ago in 2017.
This is the next time the Solheim Cup has been staged in Scotland, together with Europe winning both previous occasions.

Norway’s Pettersen – that has won 19 points in eight Solheim Cups – was a surprise addition taken time off to have a baby and having missed the 2017 event.
The 38-year-old had been selected as a vice-captain but Matthew chose her to perform back this season, despite the cut in her first two occasions.
The visitors are directed by Juli Inkster, who is captaining a comparatively inexperienced side to get a third time.
Half of the squad are currently making their first Solheim Cup appearances although five of the American dozen are still in the world’s top 20.
In actuality, they have played with three players between them, in 14 Solheim Cups.
Ally McDonald, drafted in as a replacement for the Stacy Lewis, joins Brittany Altomare Marina Alex, Megan Khang, Nelly Korda along with Annie Park.
But Inkster believes producing your Solheim Cup bow away from home might help.
„If you’re a rookie, it’s a lot easier to play because you’re likely to win and you can play a little looser,“ she said.
„It’s simpler to bond and you do not have a great deal of external distractions“
Of these, just Nelly Korda in 10th is in the world’s best 30. Korda’s elder sister Jessica, 26, is also making them the first siblings to play in the Solheim Cup.
„We’re similar in how we look, we get called each other names, and our golf matches are a similar fashion,“ Jessica told BBC Sport.
„When I [recently] had a rules official saying I was going to be cautioned, he called me Nelly.“
The group includes world number three Lexi Thompson. Even the 24-year-old became the youngest player to qualify for the US Women’s Open when she was 12

The second hole – Wester Greenwells – danger lurks for those pursuing the green in two waiting for shots and the par five.
The fifth gap – Crookit Cratur – constantly rated the toughest hole on the program, by marshland, especially with a different well-protected green brief and right.
The 14th hole – Nebit Knowe – a true level four of just 232 metres. The green is shallow and well-guarded by bunkers with the safer alternative being to bond to the left.
