Jamie Murray along with Neal Skupski were beaten Robert Farah and by High seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal in the semi-finals of the men’s doubles at the US Open.

The British duo lost two tie-breaks at a 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (10-8) defeat to the Colombians, who won the Wimbledon title before this season.
„It was a close match, no breaks of serve, not many break points either,“ explained Murray. „I guess we just didn’t produce enough great returns at the right time and ended up losingweight.
„It’s irritating to be close to the last, losing by such a close margin, but it’s been a fantastic tournament.
„We played good tennis, five good games, so it bodes well for us going forward.“
Murray’s tournament isn’t over, however, as he has the mixed doubles final to play alongside American Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
The champions face Michael Venus and best seeds Chan Hao-ching on Saturday.
At these men’s wheelchair doubles’ event, Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett beat Nicolas Peifer 6-0 6-3 and duo Stephane Houdet.
The British pair will face the Shingo Kunieda at the closing of Japan and also Gustavo Fernandez of Argentina.
